Artistic Director: Isaac Byrne
Originally from Texas, based in NYC, Isaac has been awarded the New York Innovative Theatre Awardfor Outstanding Direction twice and productions he has directed have been nominated for a Drama Desk Award, an Off Broadway Alliance award, 24 NYIT awards, and 6 Planet Connection Awards. Credits include: Other Mozart (NYIT Outstanding Solo Performance, Nominated for Director), In Vestments (NYIT Outstanding Premier of a New Play), To Nineveh (NYIT Outstanding Production), Tar Baby (DR2, PS122), 52 Man Pick Up (Ars Nova, Edinburgh Fringe), The New Normal, I Used to Write on Walls, Grimm Reality (Co-Production with Bryant Park), and Hazard a Little Death (Planet Connection Best Original Script). He also performs regularly with the Aztec Economy theatre company in the touring show Butcher Holler Here We Come. He teaches acting at the University of the Arts, the New York Film Academy, and the Matthew Corozine Studio.
Associate Artistic Director: Erika Phoebus
Born in Maryland and raised in Colorado, Erika Phoebus is now an NYC based actor/playwright, having most recently been seen in Theatre 4the People's In Vestments (Innovative Theater Award - Outstanding Premiere of a New Play, Best Director). Other favorite credits include: Let Me Go (dir. Ben Winston), Pippin (Perry - Mansfield), Susanna (CU Opera). She has workshopped and performed new material at the Broadway Theatre Project, alongside and under the direction of Ben Vereen, and has been involved in developing several new musicals, including Knock Out, written by Raechel Sherwood. Erika has studied at Ithaca College, University of Colorado, Boulder and The William Esper Studio. She is currently a student of Matthew Corozine.
Associate Artistic Director: Dan Kitrosser
Dan is an award winning playwright, composer and storyteller. His plays and musicals have appeared at P.S.122, Urban Stages, 45 Bleecker Theatre, The Ohio Theatre, The Brooklyn Lyceum and Bryant 1Park, with work developed at Rabbit Hole Ensemble, The Lark and American Place Theatre. He is currently adapting the national bestselling novel We the Animals by Justin Torres with Emmy-nominated director Jeremiah Zagar for UnionHZ films. Dan teaches playwriting to teens and tweens at Writopia Lab and is currently pursuing his MFA in playwriting at the New School for Drama, where he is the Harold and Mimi Steinberg Playwriting Fellow.
Associate Artistic Director: Mary-Anne Wright
Mary-Anne Elizabeth Wright is a New York City based South African Actress, singer, writer, director and artist. She obtained her BA(Hons) Dramatic Arts degree at the University of Witwatersrand South Africa. Mary-Anne has worked with and acted for various New York and South African based theatre companies. As a singer Mary-Anne has recently released a single entitled 'Broken' which she wrote as a type of anthem for anyone who has ever felt like they were broken and without hope. Mary-Anne has also written, directed and designed successful productions of her own work in NYC, at the Manhattan Repertory Theatre and The Tank Theatre, as well as in South Africa at POPArt Centre. In all artistic endeavors Mary-Anne aims to create work that will speak to core issues in our society. Founder of Unbounded Lioness Creations; an initiative dedicated to giving a voice to the voiceless.
